What are the Main Goals for the Egyptian Protests?

As seen in my last blog, the Egyptians have been protesting for weeks now wanting to earn their rights and opportunites as individuals. The main goal that the Egpytians are wanting to accomplish from this protest is to have their president Hosni Mubarak step down. The reason that the people are wanting this is because they are blaming Hosni Mubarak for the torture and unemployment they have had to go through over the thirty year reign Mubarak has held in Egypt. A writer by the name of Robert Fisk stated in the article that I read, "...you don't need to read the papers to see what has gone wrong. The filth and the slums, the open sewers and the corruption of every government official, the bulging prisons, the laughable elections, the whole, vast sclerotic edifice of power has at last brought Egyptians on to their streets.'' From this quote, I took that Robert Fisk is agreeing with the people of Egypt and he hopes to see them get their rights and economic opportunities as well.

I blogged about the Egyptian Protests in my last blog, and from the information that I obtained from that blog, I wanted to know more about this topic and why exactly the people blamed Hosni Mubarak. For this question, I went to Google Search as well. This time when I searced I typed in Egyptian Protesting+Main Goals and it brought me to the link: http://www.chacha.com/topic/egyptian-protests/news/what-are-the-egyptian-protests-main-goals. From this link I found out exactly why the people wants their president to step down and I agree completely with the people of Egypt. I feel that every individual should have rights and economic opportunites just like we are offered in the United States. Don't you?
