I have always wondered what the first smartphone invented was called. This has crossed my mind, because my blackberry is classifed as a smartphone but I know that my phone was not the first one invented. The first smartphone invented was called the Simon. This phone was designed by IBM in the year of 1992. The Simon was not released out into the public until 1993. This smart phone included: a calendar, an address book, world clock, calculator, note pad, e-mail, send and receive fax, and games.
After coming up with my question, I went to Google Search. From here, I went to this first link. This link took me to the website of http://www.wikipedia.org/. On this website, it told me exactly what the first smart phone invented was called and what features this phone included. This website answered my question completely and I feel that it was reliable information because after clicking on the sources at the bottom of the page, it showed me several different websites with the same information that I listed above. The link that I used was: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smartphone#Early_years.
